MOVED!

go look at http://hojuin.net/blog it’s the new version of this place

That’s right ladies and gents, the wait is over, we can all breathe a collective sigh of relief and mild anticipation as I announce that I now have my very own little corner of cyberspace on and by which I can spout as much drivel as I should care to.

I’ve moved a few posts from this blog over to my new one, but I will not bother moving them all, nor adding a redirect from this site to my new one. This is mainly because I am back in Australia now (i.e. not in Korea any more) and my blogging focus will therefore be changing. People who found this blog interesting (that is a hypothetical assertion I’m making obviously) may not necessarily find my new one so, ergo I won’t make you go there if you don’t want.

But if parchance you do want to see what the bruhaha is all about (assuming there is some kind of bruhaha out there) update links to http://hojuin.net/blog (’/blog’ is optional, you’ll get there in the end either way).

How fun is painting a house ?

Posted in: General

If you answered ‘not very fun at all’ you’re correct, come to the front of the hall and collect your book voucher and small shrub.

I’m helping a mate renovate his house right now, not sure how long it will take, but our combined borderline/rampant alchoholism and significant perfectionist tendencies mean it may be a while.

Just thought you all should know.

Hello World !

Posted in: General

Back online for 2006 and there’s been a few changes around the place.

I managed to lose all my links as I was messing with this new layout so I’m slowly rebuilding my sidebar (out to the left for those who came in late). The process will be slow because I will only really add blogs that I look at regularly (or at least when I do look at them I am sufficiently interested as to think ‘I must remember to come back here again’).

I’m trying to find good Aussie blogs to list, the few I have now are mostly political and really very far right of my personal beliefs, but in the interest of seeing a broad spectrum of opinion I do read them fairly often, I currently rely mostly on my own cynicism to provide the leftist comment, but that gets a little schizophrenic after a while so anyone with any good middle-ground and left-leaning blogs let me know.

In the month or so since I last had anything pointless to say Oranckay has summed up the Hwang fiasco quite nicely. The NKzone is still fighting the good fight, though where is Andrei ? and the Marmot is still king of the Korean blogosphere, complete with a new URL.

So that’s the state of play as we kick off for 2006.

Who let the yobs out ?

Posted in: General

Back home in the land down under and look at the state of the place.

Leave these lads alone for 12 measly months and the Liberals start raping the working class (not that that’s a real change come to think of it) and dipshits who can’t read so they watch channel 7 are (were?) rioting in Sydney to rid our country of the muslim scourge or something - dicks.

It’s good to be home.

Holy Shit!!!

Posted in: General

This has got to be one of the funniest videos ever, apparently there is a television show in the US called ‘Trading Spouses’ where 2 poor bastards get to trade their deranged wives for money and our amusement (can you guess I never knew this existed until now).

Look what happens when a good Christian lady is swapped into a ‘dark-sided house’
.

Religious nutjob factor 1000.

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA, the funniest part is I don’t think much of it is staged.

An early Christmas thought

Posted in: General

It’s a little early I know but I just got this in a ‘forward this to 1000 people in 3 seconds or die a horrible death’ chain mail and, unusually enough, thought it was a really poignant piece of work. Apparently this was written by an Aussie peacekeeper in a far-away land one Christmas but feel free to replace all instances of Australia with your country of choice.

Counting down

Posted in: General

2 weeks and 2 days until I touch down back home in Brisvegas, hence I am busy trying to fit all of my shit in one sock (a years worth of accumulating stuff and I just cannot see myself making it under a 22kg weight limit - anyone know the best way to get 2 pairs of skis half-way across the globe ?) and I don’t have so much time for posting innane rubbish here for the disdain of the general masses.

I’ve been in dialogue with a mate of mine who knows about this stuff and it looks like I will have my very own website (not just a blog but actual server space to do what I want with) in not too long, I’m toying with www.hojuin.com or something similar … wadda ya rekon ?

This all brings me to the real point here, between packing, goodbye drinks, and other miscellaneous commitments I probably won’t post much here in the next month or so - maybe once a week or so.

Not that I expect a great outpouring of public grief at this news, I’m just saying it so we all know what’s going on :p

Hold your breath for my new site though, I have huge plans - it will become the leading repositry of undergraduate Legal/IR lecture notes and essays written by me on the internet (I’m afraid no essay work will be published prior to my submitting it though ㅋㅋ).

Live on Blogsome

Posted in: General

Well here it is the newest incantation of this so far unimpressive blog - c’mon now there’s no need to be shy about it, I know there’s not much interesting here, maybe some day I will fix that.

I’ve moved all of what I’ve deemed ‘worth my effort to move it’ material from my last blog, http://hojuin.blogspot.com (clever huh, notice how you’re right back here … you never even knew you were gone) and onto my new server.
